Took away the food but just rang the belland the dog still salivated w/o the food. paired with an uncondtioned stimulis--> the food. (ucr)-unconditioned response, the dog salivating. Extinction= the disapperance or weakening of a learned response folloowing the removal or absence of the unconditioned stimulus(in classical conditioning) After it"s just the neutral stimulus without the food, the response(salivating) begans to weaken. Spontaneous recovery-wait for a 24 hour rest period and present stimulus again. Discrimination - being afraid of some things but not others. (big dogs, but not small dogs)\ Conditioned emotional repponse: cer, emotional response that hasa become classical conditioned 2 occur 2 learned stimuli, such as fear of dogs or the emotional reaction that occurs when seeing an attractive person. Adding another stimulus such as adding light to the pavlov"s demonstration. Time is a difference b/t this contioning and classical.
