Psychology is considered a science because it uses research, but many don"t view it as a science. Sensations are when people take things in, how we respond to them is perception. Darwin states that nature selects the traits that best enable an organism to survive and reproduce in a particular environment. The nature-only side states that personalities are genetic only and remain consistent across the life span. The nurture-only side states that we are all essentially the same at birth, and we are a product of our experiences, anything is possible. Most of us can see how our personalities are probably a mix of both and not only nature or only nurture. The nurture-only side believes that our personalities start out as blank slates. Psychiatrist and psychologist are different (will be on test)
