Hindsight bias- the tendency to believe, after learning an outcome, that one would have foreseen it (i knew it all along phenomenon). It"s easy to blindly accept things people tell you. Common sense is irrelevant- as a scientist you need empirical evidence. Intermittent reenforcement- give someone something so the habit persist. You can survive with a surgical split down the middle of the brain. There is no such thing as repressed memory. Most abused kids do not become abusive adults. Most infants do not recognize themselves in a mirror at their first year. Adopted kids have a large genetic influence of their parents personalities. You use every part of your brain. Overconfidence- as humans we believe we are better than we really are. Critical thinking- examines assumptions, discerns hidden values, evaluates evidence, and asses conclusions. At a young age brain damage will not have long term damage. Many different kinds of people have same levels of happiness.
