PSYC 2076 Chapter : Ed Psych Review
Document Summary
Cook, c. , williams, k. r. , guerra, n. g. , kim, t. e. , sadek, s. (2010). Bullying and victimization in childhood and adolescence: a meta-analytical. The purpose of this article was to identify the three main targets affected by bullying and how to assist and prevent those involved. The authors believe that bullies, victims and bully victims behave the way they do due to environmental, social, and internal factors such as: socioeconomic status, home life and peer status. The questions: do you tease others? and how often do you hit others? were used as base questions in which to classify the students into the different categories. The authors were able to change the questions once they identified what category the students fell into. They were able to ask more thorough questions and delve into the factors that played into why the children bullied or were victims of bullying.
