Bulimia nervosa: hallmark is binge eating, seemingly uncontrollable eating of food. Anorexia nervosa: hallmark feature is being severely underweight, defined as 15% below weight. Intense fear of gaining weight and obesity and of over eating: relentless pursuit of thinness, often beginning with dieting, subtypes, restricting type limit food intake, binge-eating-purging subtype about 50% of anorexics.
