In 1900"s: people > 65 only 4% of the us population. Today: people > 65 are 12% of the us population. In 2020: people > 65 will be 16% of the us population. In 2050: people > 65 will be 20-25% of the us population. At least half the population can expect to reach old age drop in infant mortality rate. Doing a better job at keeping people alive at childhood, keeping adults healthy, keeping older people healthy. Population pyramid will begin to flip, see more older people and less young people.
