Document Summary
This course is designed to provide a broad overview of adult development and aging. The first goal of the course is to impart a basic understanding of topics and issues in later life. A second goal is to provide the student with an appreciation of the process of aging and what it means to be an older adult in the 21st century. The paper is due on the last day of class (by dec 3rd). There will be three 45-item multiple-choice tests given during the semester. Make-up exams will be given only to students who have missed an exam for a legitimate reason (with documentation), provided that the instructor clears the absence from the exam in advance or within 24-hours of the exam. Make-up exams are in written format and consist of. Clickers will be used throughout the semester for in-class participation exercises.
