Rene descartes, i think, therefore, i am. when i hear this, the first thing that comes to mind is being whatever i want to be. If i think one thing about myself, i am that of such. If i think i look fat, then i assume i am fat. To an extent, i agree with the statement in terms of being what you what to be. We, as humans, can make ourselves believe anything about our own bodies, beliefs, minds, etc. Society thinks through me. when hearing this, i don"t find it to be true. I could be taking it too literal, but when i think about what he is saying i don"t find that society thinks through me. So stating that society has anything to do with how i think doesn"t really apply to me. I also believe that individuals can think for themselves and make their own decisions.
