Detective reagan saved a seven-year- old girl, sarah grant, one night that her entire family, (father, mother, and five-year-old brother), were murdered by a man named donald berry. Donald berry is an inmate and writes now twenty-year-old sarah grant saying he has found god in prison, and he wants to meet her. At first, frank and sarah both agree this isn"t a good idea. But, days before her wedding, sarah decides she needs to confront berry, face-to-face, once and for all. One main theme that can be drawn from this specific story in this episode, is on the goals and forms of punishment. It is found that one must consider the fundamental goals of punishment to determine the appropriate form used.
