The stronger the attachment to conventional people and institution the more likely we are to conform because we don"t want to jeopardized these relationships. 2. involvement- the more involved we are in conventional activity, the less time and energy we have to be deviant. Time allocation- only so much time in the day. The amount of involvement will ideally increase the attachment to conventional activities. 3. commitment- commitment to a conventional way of life. The more committed you are the more likely you are to conform because you don"t want to ruin your reputation. 4. belief- the more you believe in the rules, the more likely you are to follow them. The more likely you are to think that they apply to you. If you believe in mainstream values and laws we are much more likely to follow them.
