I do not think our health care is as effective as other countries. States 700,000 people a year, go bankrupt from medical bills and our health care system. Where as every other country in this documentary said that would never happen in their country. One would think that the the only ones that have a bankruptcy issue with the health care system. Just like in the u. s. the government pays for people that are either the worthy poor or the unworthy poor. I feel that only the government should help the worthy poor and the money saved from not having to spend it on the unworthy poor could go towards other important healthcare system, i would choose japan. For starters, japan spends half as much as the united states on healthcare per capita. Japan has 8% of gdp with the longest life expectancy and the lowest infant mortality in the world!
