Docudrama actual primary sources, such as newspapers, interviews, etc. , are used to create a theatrical production; the show is trying to project a real event that intertwines the directors creativity with real events. Blends melodramatic elements with documentary to create a nonfiction drama. No specific playwright , a collaboration of a writer or writers as interviewers, researchers, or archivists. Historical reenactments can be considered docudrama because they are depicting an era and behave as such in interaction. Can have comic elements and can include social satire, ex: culture clash group (3 actors from el salvador and mexican roots) Voiceovers to give background of the situation. Real footage of events are put somewhere in the performance. Realism: they try to make it as natural as they can. Interviews by people who experienced the event are normally placed throughout the show. Have political and social messages that are addressed. They probably know the information to some extent.
