In my opinion, leonardo dicaprio is a genius. He has always been one of my favorite actors simply because it"s so satisfying to watch him go from one radically different role to another. I remember first seeing him in what"s eating gilbert grape as the mentally-disabled arnie and just falling in love with his character. To be able to embody a condition to that extent without coming off as disrespectful is impressive to say the least. When i first saw titanic, i couldn"t even believe that it was the same person who was playing jack dawson. So having the persona of jack dawson burned into my memory, i was definitely thrown for a loop when i saw shutter. Island in which he plays an investigator who turns mad. seeing yet another side of him just reminded me of how great he was at what he does. I think what does it for me is his voice.
