SOC33090 Chapter Notes - Chapter 1: Nicholas Winton
Document Summary
Nicholas winton saved a number of jewish children during wwii, where he went to. Czechoslovakia to see if there was anything he could do to help. Nicholas didn"t tell people what he had done and neither did the children he saved new who he was. Nicholas has the idea that if something is not impossible there must be a way to do it , in mind and this is what lead him to do what he did and save so many children. He set an organization with the purpose of getting as much children as he could out of the conflict; he even went to the british so they could help him. As a matter of fact, all those that worked in the organization were volunteers. I can directly relate this to inge bell and his idea of artisan as well as fowler and his idea of autonomous faith.
