There is no definitive distance from the well that makes it safe to live. People under the poverty line often have less mobility and access to information about the potential ills of fracking. Local clusters of gas wells disproportionately impacting the poor and elderly. Concerns: potential for air pollution from drilling and leaks, runoffs, radiation from fractured rocks, methane.
