Document Summary

The domain eukarya includes all the eukaryotic kingdoms while archaea and. Although archaea look like bacteria, they represent a distinct evolutionary line. Organisms in the kingdom protista consist of unicellular and simple multicellular organisms that can be plant-like, fungus-like, or animal-like. Explains the members of the kingdom plantae. Members of kingdom plantae are land plants that are autotrophic, capable of manufacturing their own food through photosynthesis. The organisms in the kingdoms animalia and fungi cannot make their own food and rely on external sources of nutrition. They are the ones that engulf their food and digest it internally. They are the ones that are secreting into their surrounding enzymes that break down food. Bryophytes are small plants generally restricted to moist environments although many bryophytes can withstand extended dry periods. The remaining divisions in the plant kingdom are all vascular plants for example they all contain vascular tissues that conduct both water and food throughout the plant body.
