Operant behaviors- operate on environment in the apparent absence of any unconditioned stimuli. Operant conditioning- the use of pleasant and unpleasant consequences the change behavior. The role of consequences: pleasurable consequences increase. The premack principle- promote behavior by making access to something desirable contingent on doing something less desirable. Example: as soon as you finish your work, you may go outside.
