Document Summary
Part three was extremely entertaining and put me on the edge of my seat with each hunt. The author does an excellent job of switching from the bedroom scenes to the hunting scenes which very clearly showed the parallel between the two. We see gawain"s defense strategies to being hunted, much like the animals, and lady bertilak"s strategies to hunting. On the first hunt, the author shows gawain to pretending to sleep a little longer and then acting surprised to show that he is attempting to do the right thing. I found it interesting that throughout the piece, the author made sure to convince the readers that gawain was still a noble knight. As a reader, i wanted to place all the blame on lady bertilak. Then, we see that she says she has imprisoned him parallel to hunters trapping deer until they have no where else to go.
