Self-acceptance multiracial asian americans develop a sense of positive identity and greater understanding of the meanings of race. Social construction of identities for multiracial aa not only created by themselves but also other people (suyemoto, 2002) Often identify themselves as asian rather than white. Sense of racial purity for both race. Not seen as white by other whites nor seen as asian by other asians. Often identify themselves as black rather than asian. Blacks have less sense of racial purity.
