Cooperaive principle- make your conversaional contribuion such as is required, at the stage at which it occurs, by the accepted purpose or direcion of the talk exchange in which you are engaged: quanity. Make your contribuion as informaive as required. Do not make your contribuion more informaive than is required: quality. Do not say what you believe to be false. Do not say that for which you lack adequate evidence: relaion. Conversaional implicature must possess certain features: assume at least the cp is being observed, a paricular conversaional implicature is present requires, contextual and background informaion, and only a knowledge of what has been said.
