Opens with fireworks, panning from city to an animated moons to introduce show creator and actors starring in the show. Woman, alice, walking into the kitchen, unclogging the sink. Staring at it to see if it worked, gargling noises. Trixie (friend?) walks in, asks where ralph (?) is to tell them that her husband, ed, will be late to bowling; they"re getting a new television. Here you are getting a second set and we haven"t even had our first one yet alice begged her husband for a tv set but he keeps saying no. Trixie tells her how to convince him, shouldn"t beg him. When her husband gets home, she gets him his slippers and pipe and flatters him until he"s in a good mood. Alice listens to trixie"s advice and begins to try and coax her husband. Calls him pet names, he gives her a weird look.
