Returns by wat of Taiyuan and Shangjun
Chapter 8: Year 20 (227 BC): An Assassination Attempt
Crown Prince Dan of Yan sends Jing Ke to assassinate King of Qin
King of Qin discovers Jing Ke dismembers him as a warning to others
Sends Wang Jian and Xin Sheng to attack Yan
Yan and Dai engage defeated west of River Yi
Chapter 9: Years 22-25 (225-222 BC) Qin Becomes Unconquerable
Wang Ben attacks Wei and diverts river to flood city of Dailiang land becomes
annexed shortly afterwards
Chapter 10: Year 26 (221 BC): Taking Stock; Qin Controls the Whole Land
King tells Prime Minister and Chief Counsellor about how they were able to defeat the
other states and essentially become very powerful ie. Defeating Crown Prince Dan
Now they must create a new title to record their achievements
Chapter 11: A New Title for the King of Qin
Prime Minister Wan Wan, Chief Counsellor Feng Jie, and Chief Justice Li Si all say that
the King has achieved unification on a scale the 5 Emperors could not match title
should be Taihuang (Supreme Sovereign)
o Commands = edicts
o Orders = decrees
o Referring to hiself = royal self
King says he should be called Huangdi (Sovereign Emperor) instead names his father
