Support of school-based activities (volunteering, advocating for school"s needs, influencing local decision making and resource allocation, etc. ) Field trips, community events, translation and interpreting services, etc. Minimize influence of class and cultural differences. Direct service and support to families considered to be rich. Combined expertise and services - reduced costs and minimized problems in services. Difficult to blend agencies with different missions and different organizational cultures. Develop the ifsp (individualized family service plan) Agencies work to provide comprehensive programs for children and families. Center based teacher works with other staff members to develop a program involving multiple service providers. Home-based professionals work with parents/family who become the child"s primary teachers; professional typically goes into the home once each week to teach parents how to implement interventions and monitor progress. Combination services children go to a center one or more weekly and professionals visit their homes on a scheduled basis.
