It"s heartbreaking that people can spend so much of their lives doing incredible work to not receive credit. Tesla had these huge aspirations and ideas from the beginning about alternating currents and he was shot down again and again. Eventually, he was successful and made a name for himself. There were years of greatness were his inventions were praised, but toward the later part of his life, things started to change. Some of his newer ideas were shot down again, and he was on his own. During this time there was also a lot of competition from foreigners who were doing similar work. After tesla"s patents expired, his ideas were used by others. One of his greatest rivals was marconi, who received backing from morgan once. Morgan decided to no longer back tesla"s ideas. Later, tesla had a resurgence of public acknowledgement and his ideas were acknowledged as being wrongfully used by others.
