Some endorse fleeing rather than using force against attacker. Property alone usually not thought of to be sufficient importance to make serious harm a proportionate means of protection: some though believe that it is our right to feel safe etc. Elevator scenario: in an elevator with stranger, who is schizophrenic. They go into an episode and attack you. Vehicle scenario: driver is a great driver who does everything right. One day a freak accident causes his car brakes to fail. Assumes that people have a right not to be killed, thus if it becomes permissible to kill someone need an explanation for what happened to their right not to be killed.
