The people will never be in danger if the structure of the government written up in the constitution remains. Lifetime appointment (only removed through impeachment, retirement, or death) Only make decisions required under the law. They don"t have to worry about being kicked off the court for passing something that isn"t viewed favorably by the public. Prohibits reduction in salary while on good behavior. Can be refused raise but cannot get a reduction in pay. No requirements for being a supreme court justice. Jurisdiction: simply means the court has the legal authority to hear that type of case. Power of a higher court to review and revise a lower court"s decision.
