Wrt 332 - chapter 11 - technical communication - 13th edition. Need to make sure your document is readable. Should be easy for your readers to understand. Just because text is mechanically (grammar, spelling, punctuation) correct, does not guarantee that it"s readable. If text is written inefficiently, then it makes readers work very hard to understand it. If writing is clear, audience can read it once and understand it fully. Pronouns he, she, they, her, etc. Make sure if you use pronouns, that they are clearly referring to the known that they have replaced. If a modifier is too far from the word(s) it is modifying, then the text can become confusing. If there are too many nouns in a row, the message can become distorted. Do not need to put a lot of information in a single sentence. Only put what is needed to make sense. Trying to use the fewest amount of words while still making sense.
