Chapter 14: several concerns that moustaka"s has in regards to authoritarian demands include, the personal uniqueness that the education system said that he could not show his learners. He states that educators should us compelling powers that transform the way in which learners have been taught in the past: my eighth grade united states history teacher mrs. demarco used compelling powers on her learners. Throughout her class she would make jokes in a way that would help us learn the material. She would also have us engage in projects that were meaningful and pertained to the material that we were learning at the time. The meeting between the two individuals is not over until the conflict has been resolved. Following the end of the meeting, the previous feelings are replaced with respect because the two are understanding of one another beliefs. Following the confrontation, a turning point emerges between the teacher and the learner that then transform both individuals.
