Certain psychological properties/processes are universal biological basis for food, water, sex, etc. Other properties of people differ, but in ways that allow them to be grouped. Each individual is unique and cannot be meaningfully compared with anyone else. Personality traits and situations control an individual"s behavior. As age increases, so does stability of the differences between people 50-70 year olds. *people differ from each other in the degree to which they have developed a consistent personality could be related to psychological adjustment (mental health) or age (maturity) More consistent people = less neurotic, more controlled, more mature, and more positive in their relations with others.
