Tomorrow"s lecture: figured world, relationships, social worlds, sense of self. The online exam will be open in 2 weeks and the essay is slowly approaching. The exam will address information presented in the lectures and readings. The first 2 weeks of which look at the fundamentals of anthropology. Ethnography: concepts and questions, methodology, fieldwork, writing it up. Fieldwork video doing anthropology: participant observation, qualitative and quantitative, responsible to peers and informants, ethical, reflexivity. The essentials of fieldwork involve talking and observing. You are essentially making connections and gathering information which would otherwise be unknown. Fieldwork helps us to ask questions and to actually know and understand in a way that is not possible without physical participation.
