The four most prevalent conditions: osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis and back problems impact on the lives of approximately one third of the population. Who makes up allied health: aboriginal health workers, audiologists, chiropractors, diabetes educators, dieticians, exercise physiologists, hand therapists, mental health workers, occupational therapists, orthotists/prosthetists, osteopaths, physiotherapists, podiatrists, psychologists, rehabilitation counsellors, social workers, speech pathologists. Some musculoskeletal conditions that are benefited by allied health: osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute, sub-acute and chronic specific and non-specific msk pain, disabilities.
