Education has a direct effect on people who are being educated, and it also affects the choices they are able to make in the future (ie access to resources and opportunities participation in society / social inclusion). Education more broadly also impacts communities, workplaces, homes, and society at large because of the effects it has on individuals, social relations, and broader civic and socialisation processes. Health is not just about the absence of disease, but about complete physical, mental and social wellbeing. Education has an effect on life satisfaction through psycho-social and economic mechanisms this impacts an individual"s mental health and wellbeing . Education has the power to: increase life expectancy, reduce the burden of disease, decrease risky behaviours, The more years that one spends in school, the more likely they are to experience good health throughout their life.
