* working memory is a type of memory that is inherently short term and is inherently explicit memory. It plays a major role in our operation. It represents the central processing unit of the human computer. Types of memory: implicit memories that are not consciously recalled. Over a period of time, that sensitisation disappears and it can disappear quite quickly. In classic conditioning you pair one stimulus which is the unconditioned stimulus with another stimulus which is called the conditioned stimulus. Operant conditioning is instead of pairing two stimuli, you pair a behaviour with a reward or a punishment. Procedural memory is the memory of how to do things. * implicit memory is used all the time and when it fails you fail. Implicit memories are acquired as a result of living. Implicit memories form the underpinnings of how you move around or what you choose to do when you are sitting in a lecture or any other element etc.
