If two sides if skin cant be bought together. Ross is a 24 year-old male who is admitted to hospital with steam burns to his arms and torso from an overheated car radiator. Witnesses at the accident wrapped his left arm in a wet towel to try to protect the burn. On his right arm the burn appears to be restricted to the lower arm near the wrist. A the epidermis, the dermis, blood vessels, nerves, hair follicles, sweat glands, lymph ducts. The burn on ross"s arm is classified as a partial thickness burn. A partial thickness burn, as allot of the nerves will still be present. A due to the burn, there will be liquid evaporating closer to his blood vessels, which would cool down his core body temperature. Since his losing water from his body, due to evaporation and inflammation, it would trigger his receptors, which would consequently send the sensation of thirst.
