Scientific method: steps in the scientific method: Gives us an insight to why problems of that nature are difficult. Often contrast with null hypotheses1 e. g. when testing the effectiveness of certain pharmaceuticals, there"s a possibility that it would be ineffective so rather than supporting the hypothesis, you are supporting the null hypothesis to contradict your predictions.
