Sender and receiver are both in their own environments and both must deal with background noise. Sending and receiving is happening at the same time. When we communicate, we are full of expectations, doubts, fears, and hopes. Where we place emphasis, what we focus on, and how we view our potential has a direct impact on our communication interactions . Two or more people often perceive the world in radically different ways, which presents challenges. Our self-concept has a powerful effect on our communication behaviour. Our messages can shape the self-concepts of others, influencing communication. The image we present to the world varies from one situation to another.
