Victorian anxieties are building about stories like dr. jekyll and mr. hyde. Dramatic monologue is contradictory because monologue assumes that it is 1 person but you can explore split subjects in them. The notion as an essential self might not be true. There is not just 1 version of yourself. Deride (cid:862)all (cid:449)riti(cid:374)g is hidi(cid:374)g the truth(cid:863) Some of the earliest poems are riddles which are unclear. It is like putting on a mask, you may be hiding but telling the truth. There is no accreditation, who said this and were. They cannot help it, people get inspiration from everyone.
