Tests x 4 (each worth 5%) 20% Term paper 25% (close to 800 words) 20% - paper: focus on the impact a specific communication disorder that a person has on their life and/or the person"s family. Some short answer (typically lists or a couple of lines/sentences about something and maybe some diagrams) Conceptual -> physical -> conceptual: person has an idea and they want to communicate said concept. In order to do so they must convert the concept into a physical. They must physically produce the speech sounds which produces the physical acoustic sounds that go to the other person. It is then converted from a physical soundwave to physical movements (eardrum, ear bone, nerves, electrical system of the body).
