Just over 2 billion people live on less that per day. Some may have more rights and privileges/advantages while others in same income group may face more barriers. Subsistence work: work done in order to survive. Most people have to sell their labour for a wage. Most people work in agriculture and service industries. Low wage, part time, temporary or short term contact. 75% of world workers in this form of work. Far more women than men, especially in part-time work. Some people want to go to school but in some countries there are fees attributed to even elementary school. Some children are discouraged from going to school because of real threats. 80% were born here and 20% are defined as immigrants.
