Moral development a process in which a person develops cognitive capacity for moral reasoning. Performing an action that is considered right or wrong . Sport environment: learn rules and fair play; practice moral behaviors, cooperation, loyalty, respect, perseverance, coaching: encouraging violations aggression, appropriate behaviors transfer beyond sport. Motivational climate: mastery climate vs. performance climate, pro-social: assists or benefit other individual or team, antisocial: harm or disadvantage other person or team. Team norms: expectations or values that influence the members of a group. Goal orientation: task-orientated: success= mastery skill. Plays by rules as competence is self-referenced: ego- oriented: success= outperforming others. May break rules or be unsportsmanlike to win. Bullying: imbalance of power among peers where one (or more) is more powerful and repeatedly attacks a less powerful individual with intention to harm.
