Studies show consistent moderate, positive relationship with sport performance: stronger relationship than anxiety. Influences different aspects of performance: ex: making effective game strategies, reading plays, controlling emotions and reactions, managing pressure and distraction. Rule of thumb: successful performances or positive experiences raises self-efficacy, repeated failures or negative experiences lowers self-efficacy. Each source: has specific information to affect self-efficacy, has a different ability to affect self-efficacy. The physiological indicators; physical feelings: some physical discomfort expected; important to sport. Raises: strength, comfort, stamina: outcome: trust training; continue with high effort.
