Knew little to no about politics: liberal party - trudeau. Start leasing very early within the campaign, Polling is constant ; issues are found within these polls. Parties run campaigns, they are private organizations, internal regulation is run differently. Campaigns are more expensive: polls , professional campaign organizers, travel, advertising. Despite all efforts turnout in elections is down ( some exceptions- usa 2008). Campaigns can educate both party members and activists as well as general public. Monday, january 12, 2015: parliamentary wing (caucus, central office, local organization and volunteers ( dormant between election in canada) Sum total of relevant parties in a given country. Usa: 2 party system - there are a lot of parties, some may only operate at the state level. and some may operate at the national level, constitution level etc there are a lot of parties that silent. Number of parties affected by electoral system . Seymour martin lipset no feudalism , no socialism .
