Most bills are pretty simple (opposite in usa) 2009-2010 (111th congress) only 237 if 6098 bills passed. Committees study issues and report to parliament. All international treaties must be ratified by senate (2/3) Us senate approves all appointments to senior post in judiciary, military and civil service, cabinet positions. Call civil servants on behalf of constituents. Cabinet may hold office as long as it retains the support of the majority of the legislature. Government may declare that a vote is confidence vote.
