Document Summary
Semantic relationship: when we associate words that connect to eachother, during an experiment, our reaction time is faster. Get the participant to repeat words from two separate blocks. Block 1 the words have a semantic relationship and the reaction time and accuracy are faster then block two because we associate the words. Brain imaging: measure brainwaves at rest vs. to a stimulus. It is from the scalp therefore cannot detect the location. Good for reaction time fmri: measuring brain while functioning. Blood flow of an area that is used during task. Computational modeling: using computters to imitate the human mind and manipulating them during an experiment to measure a specific variable. Behavioural experiments: manipulating one single variable where all other aspects of groups are similar to get precise results. Measure reaction time and accuracy because they work best together. One faster then the other could be a bad result (ex.
