Review topics will be posted online next week. Religious beliefs and practices are found in all societies. Not surprising since given that religion is a belief system to inform their general world view. Everyone has a way to view the world and religion is able to give context and label to world view. What feature(s) do we mean by religion : belief in supernatural and/or spiritual agents (god, deity, gods, ghosts or souls, system of ethics relating to individual to group, etc. Moral obligations are there for the good of the whole religion and it"s members. Religions can differ form each other along several dimensions although they tend to be related to the 3 features discussed before. High versus low intensity (of required commitment to religious and of benefits: high degree like praying multiple times a day, low as having no meetings or no financial contribution to religion.
