Sexuality was never thought to be an inequitable strain of theory, and queer theory is the study of sexual social inequalities. It is thought that we are biologically and programed to be sexual, we are taught this by science but also by religion. It is thought to be given by god to be heterosexual so if deviated from that you are sinning. Women being attracted to men and men being attracted to women. Ideas about sexuality change over time and space. 1: sexual practice is learned, sexual desire is multi-focal, sexuality is understood and practiced differently in different historical and cultural contexts. If we see sexual preferences change over time that means that heterosexuality is not just the only right way . We understand what is normal, appropriate and what is right. Example: women go to get a pap smear there is sexual content there but we don"t see it as sexual because it is medical .
