Course philosophy: professional sport is a major part of the sport industry. Many spma graduates take jobs in pro sport. While many aspects of pro sport are discussed in other spma classes, some topics will inevitably fall through the cracks of our curriculum. This class attempts to fill in those cracks. As such, much of the material is historical. While this certainly is not a sport history class, students should be aware of the historical flavour of the material. Date for withdrawal without academic penalty: wednesday, nov. 6th. Brock"s policy states that students must know 15% of their final grade a week before the withdrawal date. We will be having our midterm exam on. Wed. , oct. 23rd and students will be informed of their grade by wednesday, oct. 30th.
