Introducion: un notes that a criical mass" of 30-35% representaion of women is necessary in order to make signiicant policy changes that will improve women"s lives, canada is at approximately 22-25% representaion at the federal level. Why should women be in poliics: with women at the table, their issues are more likely to be included in all poliical discussions, women also take a diferent approach to the process and to policy content. Women in poliics: countries using some form of a list system of proporional representaion elect the most female representaives.
