They get on during their larvae stage and attaches to the dragon y nymph when they are on water (i. e. arrenurus water. A female clam has a mantle ap that looks like a sh and extends it and pulsates to stimulate a wounded minnow. This activity attracts di erent sh, and increases the opportunities for juvenile mussels to attach themselves to the sh: ticks nd hosts by questing - they climb up on vegetation and wait there for a host. One part is like a suction cup while the other is for piercing: lamprey (ectoparasite sh) - attaches onto sh. : many ectoparasites injects anticoagulants to keep the blood owing, flattened body shape to climb through feathers, hair ( at ies, lice)
