Believe things because everyone around you believes the same thing. This is why cults try to keep you from talking to people not in the cult. The herd instinct is believing what everyone else does to avoid social con ict. Someone is vegan just because their boyfriend is. When people watch news that are neutral, they think that the news are bias against them.
